Turnkey
Projects
Vat Installation Project
In
2005 we undertook a project whose aim was to move 2 off
120,000 litre stainless steel VATs from Kilwinning in
Ayrshire to Dalmuir Bond. This project was challenging
on a number of fronts.
1)
SIZE - These are large Vats measuring 5.5M high by 5M
diameter.
2) LOGISTICS - The Vats were de-installed from a bond
in Kilwinning and transported to the new site via low
loader transport.
3) SITE CONSTRAINTS - The Vats were offloaded at site
and moved into place. The key project objective was to
ensure that they fitted into the existing space restraints
of the new site.
4) PROJECT INSTALLATION - Once the Vats were moved into
place all the following was specified, supplied and installed
by Sutherland Engineers:
1. Pumps
2. Valves
3. Pipework
4. Filtration
